The roaster is revved up and Blip Coffee Roasters now has coffee to take on the open road. The 10-month old West Bottoms roasting operation has opened an adjacent cafe at 1331 Saint Louis Avenue. They have a La Marzocco espresso machine, a full line of espresso drinks and offer two different coffees daily. They’re also serving pastries from Chelsea’s Bakehaus.
“It feels great to have the cafe open, and I’m excited about the opportunities that it brings to Blip,” says owner Ian Davis.
Back in March, the Recommended Daily stopped in to chat with Davis about his plans for the space in the West Bottoms. He may be a familiar face to those in the coffee scene. He was a barista at Oak Street Coffee and ran the coffee program at Aixois. His new venture Blip, which he co-owns with Conrad Amirof, also collaborated with Thou Mayest in June on a coffee blend.
Blip’s cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
