Boulevard teases upcoming Crown Town Ale honoring the Royals

boulevard-crown-town-aleThere’s nothing like that moment in the locker room when the hometown team has won. And while you raise a beer to them, they’re in the midst of spraying beer everywhere.

Boulevard wants to capture and bottle that joy for Kansas City. They’re going to release Crown Town Ale to celebrate the World Series run of the Kansas City Royals.

The sports teams in KC are making this something of a tradition. Boulevard released Sporting Kansas City Championship Ale this June to honor the local soccer side’s 2013 MLS Cup victory. We’ve got a message in to the brewery for more information about a style and release date. We’ll update this post when we hear back.

[Here’s what Boulevard e-mailed back on Friday afternoon]

“Boulevard Brewing Company is very excited for Crown Town Ale. We created the beer to celebrate—fan to fan—with the rest of the city,” Boulevard Director of Marketing Jeremy Ragonese says. “We were swept up in the October mania right along with the rest of the community. With this beer, our hope was to recognize the team’s extraordinary accomplishments and toast the passion and loyalty of hometown fans.”
