Bridger’s Bottle Shop will now open on Wednesday, April 2

Bridger’s Bottle Shop (510 Westport Road), originally scheduled to open tonight at 5 p.m., has pushed back their opening to next Wednesday, April 2. They announced the delay on Facebook:

Sorry guys, we don’t mean to be a tease, but due to some issues beyond our control Bridger’s Bottle Shop will not be opening tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we thought it would be beneficial to have beer during our open….

Bridger’s, which takes up about half of the former America’s Pub space, is going to stock more than 600 bottled beers organized by style in walk-up coolers that ring two walls. Partners Eric Flanagan, Aaron Beatty and Phil Thies have been working on the Westport spot since last July. The bottle shop and beer bar (meaning you can take bottles to go or drink them on the spot) will have food from Preservation Market — a concept that is an extension of the Local Pig, the East Bottoms butcher shop run by Alex Pope. Chef Andrew Heimburger will oversee the kitchen.
