Crows Coffee (304 E 51st Street) has opened. Owner Zach Moores has spent the past three months overhauling the former Pryde Cleaners space, exposing the brick walls and having a custom barista bar built of metal and reclaimed wood.
“Crows are black and dark like coffee. They’re really curious and complicated birds and I think coffee can be kind of like that in a way,” Moores told The Recommended Daily [read the story here] back in May. “Crows are a bit misunderstood and coffee is too.”
Crows is using Messenger Coffee (the local roaster that launched this January) for beans, and will be offering pour over service, as well as Toddy coffee. Crows is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
