Five KC cinnamon rolls that should be in your face [Map]

The cinnamon rolls from top left (clockwise): Natasha’s Mulberry and Mott, Judi’s Bakery, Clock Tower Bakery, Vee’s Sweets and Treats and John’s Space Age Donuts.

The cinnamon roll could be Kansas City’s secret specialty. You walk into any joint that does breakfast and you’ve got an instant litmus test for their menu (on the savory side, it’s whether or not they make their own biscuits and gravy).

You may have your favorite — and we, at The Recommended Daily, sincerely hope it’s one of the five that we’ve decided to list in our first food map of Kansas City. Otherwise, that would mean that you’ve been missing out on some of the sweet round bread that could be gently easing you into that late morning nap you deserve. Scroll below, click here (or you can also download a PDF if you want a map for your hands), and take RD’s cinnamon roll tour of KC.

@Katie. I have had Best Regards and Mema’s — you’ll find both to be credible representations of the species.
