Why stop at pairing cheese with wine? Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9 a.m. for this season of Green Dirt Farm’s cheese appreciation events, which will pair cheese with wine, beer and chocolate.
The Weston sheep farm has announced the lineup for its sixth season of tasting events, which run between May and November. [The farm also offers Farm Table Dinners. The area chefs cooking the dinner series will be announced on April 4 with tickets going on sale April 22.] You can learn about how cheeses age, different milk types and how to taste. The tickets that will likely go first — and tickets have sold out fairly quickly in the past — are below.
Boulevard will be out for a pair of classes. Brewer Jeremy Danner will match five of his favorite craft brews with five craft dairy cheeses on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, and Elizabeth Belden, who works on quality assurance for the brewery, will co-host with Green Dirt’s Sarah Hoffman on a tasting of regional cheeses and Boulevard beer on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17. Green Dirt has also added three new classes, including Chocolate & Cheese with Christopher Elbow on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26. Elbow will lead two sessions daily, going through cheese and chocolate pairings.
The tastings run from 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets range from $50 to $55. You can buy up to six tickets at once.[Image via Facebook: Green Dirt Farm]
