For $5, you can find out what works with candy corn, Milky Way, Twizzlers and more. The event is a benefit for the Community Food Network of Northern Platte County.
The Rock & Run Brewery is hosting the Rot and Ruin Fall Ale & Spirits Festival (46 Missouri Street, Liberty) on Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be more than 30 craft breweries and distilleries (including Torn Label, Bur Oak, and Leaky Roof Meadery) on hand. Tickets are $40 (VIP tickets, which include a $5 food voucher and admission at 3 p.m. are $55). You can also buy a food voucher, good for a sandwich, bag of chips and a bottle of water for $5.
Tom + Chee (14991 W 119th Street) — the grilled cheese restaurant that you may know from Shark Tank — opens its first area location today in Olathe. They’ve got a grilled cheese donut and you can add potato chips inside your grilled cheese.
The Parkville Farmers Market (parking lot of English Landing Park) ends its season on Saturday. It will run from 7 a.m. to noon (or until sell-out).
