The Maibock will be on tap tonight.

Kansas City has a new beer. The Kansas City Bier Company (310 W 79th Street) is tapping its Maibock tonight at 6 p.m. The Maibock, the first seasonal produced by the Waldo brewery, was made with German hops and malt. KC Bier Co.’s version of the lager is golden-red in color and the brewery promises a “uniquely satisfying malt character.”

The German-style beer hall and production brewery opened in February. Last month, the KC Bier Company’s brews began appearing on taps around the city. Their kegs have made it to Bier Station, Charlie Hooper’s, Lew’s, Remedy, Tanner’s, Waldo Pizza and The Well. The brewery is open from 4 to 11 p.m. tonight.
