The heat is on, folks. Meet Todd Zimmer, the founder of Zim’s Sauces, at our next installment of Meet Your Maker on Thursday, September 17, at 7 p.m. It’s a unique opportunity to visit with a local hot sauce maker, pick his brain and sample a sauce that’s not yet on the market. [This is a reschedule of our June class.]
If you’re looking for barbecue, you come to Kansas City. If you want hot wings, you head to Buffalo, New York. With Zim’s Sauces, Buffalo comes to KC. Zimmer has created a line of hot sauces meant to help folks here recreate the glorious wings of his native city. And he’s going to be talking about his own journey to Kansas City, along with the sauces he makes at the next edition of Meet Your Maker. The intimate, hour-long class is on the second floor of The Sundry (1706 Baltimore Avenue), our partner on this series. And it’s how you will get your wing game on point.
Tickets are $10, which gets you a sauce sample and a recipe from The Sundry featuring that very sample. You’ll also get to try a bit of the sauce while you’re there, so prepare your tastebuds for some heat. We keep these classes intentionally small — it’s meant to feel like you’re back in the best version of school — so don’t sleep on tickets.
