Chef Mickey Priolo is now cooking at Gram & Dun (600 Ward Parkway). The former executive chef at The Corner Restaurant (4059 Broadway) recently accepted a position with the Bread & Butter Concepts restaurant on the Plaza. [You can read our profile of him here.]
“It is a completely natural fit. I love the Southern gastropub concept and it definitely vibes with a lot of the stuff I was doing at The Corner,” Priolo says. “Some of my favorite people work here. It’s an exciting place to be.”
Among those people is chef Rick Mullins, who has been cooking with Priolo at a series of pop-up dinners at Czar Bar for the past several years. The two neighbors first shared a kitchen at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Following a three-month stint at Bluestem (which opened last week after a two-month remodel), Priolo became the executive chef of The Corner last November.
