Find a new love (or celebrate your current love) this weekend. Ca Va (4149 Pennsylvania) has $5 shots of J Rieger & Co. Kansas City Whiskey for the lonely hearts. The Record Bar (1020 Westport Road) is hosting a Valentine’s Crafts & Drafts Brunch from 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The stage, normally full of musical acts (like Making Movies, which is performing later that night) will have crafts and baked goods for sale. There are $5 pink mimosas. The Broadway Jazz Club (3601 Broadway Avenue) still has tickets left for its late night dessert show beginning at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Listen to Linnai McKenzie while enjoying chocolate lava cake and champagne. Tickets are $25.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (4525 Oak Street) is hosting a Chinese New Year Celebration 2015 tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. There will be yo yo, dance, Tai Chi, acrobats and drumming demonstrations. They’ll also be offering photo opportunities with an Emperor, Empress and a rick shaw.  They’ll have Chinese fare, plum wine and Bo Lings for sale. The event is free.

The Weston Wine Company (519 Main Street, Weston, Missouri) is hosting a ‘Just Say No to V.D. Party,’ Saturday. The wine tasting begins at 7 p.m. and they’re screening, So I Married An Axe Murderer, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and include a taste of their seven wines and a take home glass.

Get a sneak peek at Bee Sweet, a new ice cream company that’s offering their version of Choco Tacos (known as ‘Ese Tacos’) and heart-shaped ice cream pops made with beet ginger cinnamon ice cream. They’ll be keeping it chill at the Fahrenheit Valentine Ball (back of The Bauer, 115 West 18th Street) this Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The Flying Saucer Draught Emporium (101 E 13th Street) is hosting a Stone Brewing Beer Dinner Sunday at 6 p.m. There are six beers, five courses and a guest chef (Justin Voldan of the West Side Local). The courses range from Enjoy By IPA paired with duck tamales to Reason Be Damned with a beef short rib, polenta cake and pickled radish. Tickets are $65 ($55 for UFO members).
