How about some South for your mouth? The soft shell crab Po’ Boy ($9.99 with a side) is back at Oklahoma Joe’s. The special, only available on Fridays, is a deep-fried soft shell crab topped with BBQ remoulade, shredded cabbage and tomato jam (which debuted on the restaurant’s smoked salmon salad last year) on a hoagie bun.
The sandwich offered during Lent will be on the menu through April 18. Those foregoing meat for religious or other reasons, can get the portobello Z-man, which swaps a mushroom for brisket and adds a swatch of barbecue mayonnaise to the onion rings and provolone cheese that come standard.
