The icy cocktails at Snow & Company (1815 Wyandotte Street) are pretty hot right now. The Crossroads spot was named to Paste’s10 Best Frozen Cocktail Bars.Tropical Liqueurs, which will be familiar to anybody who has spent time in Columbia, Missouri, also made the list. Here’s what Paste had to say about Snow & Company:

With home made frozen cocktails galore, this bar is quickly becoming the hot spot of Missouri. Made with top-notch spirits and crafted with creativity and care, Snow and Co. will let you try your beverage before committing to a particular one. Can’t decide? Create your own flavor.

Snow & Company is in the midst of building out a second location in Gladstone. Co-owner Jerry Nevins says it should open in late summer or early fall. The news that they were being recognized among the nation’s top frozen cocktail bars was a pleasant surprise for Nevins and fellow owner Andy Talbert.

“We’re humbled to be on a list with such great bars,” Nevins said by e-mail. “We were literally just listening to Tad [Carducci] from The Tippler talking about craft beverage trends yesterday at the National Restaurant Association show and now we’re on a best of list with him. Mind. Blown. We’re just proud to help make the KC beverage scene part of the national conversation.”

We definitely fell in love with them – great cocktails, great owners, and great business. Can’t wait to see how the second location evolves and we get the chance to taste those tasty frozen drinks again!
