Feed your taco habit. Taco Republic (500 County Line Road, Kansas City, Kansas) is selling a season pass, what it calls the Big Fat Taco, online Friday at 7 a.m. The season pass ($175) entitles you to three tacos and chips and salsa daily between December 5, 2014, and March 5, 2015. There are only 150 available.

Country star Martina McBride will be signing books and hosting a reception at Rainy Day Books from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday for her new cookbook, Around The Table: Recipes and Inspirations for Gatherings Throughout the Year.

Make your breakfast a little cooler with Cars and Coffee at the Kansas City Automotive Museum (15095 W 116th Street, Olathe, Kansas). There’s free coffee and donuts and plenty of sweet rides between 8 and 10 a.m. Saturday. If you want to tour the museum, it’s $6.

Start a new holiday tradition. Grab some popcorn and head over to Union Station where Elf is showing in the Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre at 12, 2:30 and 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $2.

It’s the Whoville Holidays at City Market this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who will be on hand to take free photos with kids of all sizes (bring your own cameras). They’re asking folks to bring canned goods for Harvesters and toys for the Salvation Army.

Summit Hickory Pit BBQ (1012 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit) is holding a four-course, Boulevard beer-paired dinner on Monday, December 1, at 6:30 p.m. Boulevard brewer Jeremy Danner will be talking about the brews. Baby back ribs will be paired with Last Splash and Sixth Glass will be served with a warm caramel apple delight topped with Poppy’s ice cream. Tickets are $35.
