Southwest Boulevard has a little bit more country comfort. The Mixing Bowl Noshery (520 Southwest Boulevard) is now open in the former Franks’ location.
The restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, is bringing farm recipes downtown. They’re serving biscuits and gravy for breakfast, stuffed burgers for lunch and family-style fried chicken cooked in an iron skillet for dinner. The drive-through, previously used by Franks, will be open for breakfast with Roasterie coffee, breakfast burritos and egg sandwiches available at the window. Back in March, The Recommended Daily broke the news that Gregory and Dana Peterman would be opening the Mixing Bowl — the name is a nod to Dana Peterman’s collection of mixing bowls.
