Twin Peaks has opened in Independence

Twin Peaks (19821 E. Jackson Drive) has opened in Independence in a former Romano’s Macaroni Grill space. Part of the growing breastaurant universe, the lodge-themed sports bar has female servers dressed like lumberjacks who left their clothes in a dryer a bit too long. They opened last week and began serving lunch this past Saturday.

Twin Peaks dishes up fried pickles and a hangover burger topped with a fried egg, American cheese, and bacon [the full menu is here]. Their draft beer is poured at 29 degrees in a frozen mug and the shots are available as Shot-Skis — a snow ski that has been retrofitted to serve a shot to four drinkers at once.

Twin Peaks also has a spot at 14805 W. 119th Street in Olathe, which opened last April. More will likely open, as KC Lodge Ventures LCC, which counts Paul Khoury (co-founder of the PB&J restaurants) among its partners, has a development deal for three outposts with an option for a fourth in the Kansas City region.

The Twin Peaks in Independence is open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday. The phone number is 816-795-7710.
