YaYa’s Euro Bistro opens Saturday in Overland Park

YaYa’s Euro Bistro is back. The mainstay of many Johnson Countians’ Friday nights will officially open tomorrow (they’re currently holding a soft opening) at 7021 W 135th Street in Overland Park.

After 20 years in Hawthorne Plaza, the PB&J Restaurant Group decided to move from its original Leawood location at 4701 W 119th Street in May when its lease expired, the same month that the group opened two concepts — the Newport Grill and Paradise Diner (a modern retelling of the first restaurant in the PB&J universe that was at Oak Park Mall) — in the Prairiefire development. There are three other Yaya’s in St. Louis, Denver and Little Rock.

The new YaYa’s is in Corbin Park at the corner of Metcalf and 135th. The menu pulls in American (Caesar Salad, crab cakes) French (mussels, Croque Monsieur), Greek (hummus, baba-ganoush) and Italian (oak-fired pizzas, gnocchi, arancini) influences. YaYa’s will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The phone number is 913-345-1111.
